We invite you to apply for the participation in the Second Scientific Conference with International Participation - "Holistic approaches to pre-school pedagogy - theory and practice" (HOLIPRI 2014) which is to be held on the 10th and 11th of October, 2014 in Pirot, Serbia. The Conference is to be organised by the COLLEGE OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES FOR PRE-SCHOOL TEACHERS IN PIROT in cooperation with the SERBIAN ACADEMY OF EDUCATION.
The aim of the conference is to foregather professionals, researchers and practitioners who deal with holistic ideas in education in theory and practice from the perspective of various disciplines.
FIELDS IN WHICH AUTHORS CAN SUGGEST THEIR PAPERS:
Pre-school pedagogy as a scientific and didactic discipline
Position, content and function of pre-school pedagogy in a system of pedagogical disciplines. Mutual relationship between institutional and family pre-school pedagogy. Relationship between pre-school pedagogy and other sciencies and scientific disciplines (psychology, sociology, anthropology, theology, etc.).
Multidisciplinary approach to ideas of education and upbringing of pre-school children
Institutional framework and other tendencies which influence defining of social and institutional framework. Institutional pre-school education through the prism of traditional and modern systems of pre-school education and upbringing. Reform pedagogical movements through multidisciplinary approach – two world wars and their influence on Serbian system of pre-school education and upbringing. Modern ideas on pre-school upbringing: examples of good practice in Serbian pre-school pedagogy with special emphasis on ideas of professor Aleksandra Marjanović and Bosiljka Gligorijević.
Modern trends in the upbringing of pre-school children
Differences between modern and possible tendencies in the immediate educational practice. Specificities of various methods and organisational forms of pre-school education and upbringing. Children play as a basic activity on a pre-school level – educational values. Learning and teaching of pre-school children in line with modern trends. Preservation and development of creativity as a key pedagogical issues
Concept and understanding of creativity. Types of creativity. Methods of inquiry into children creative potential. Relationship between giftedness, creativity and intelligence. Programmes for development of children´s creativity. Pre-school period as a golden age for the development of children´s creativity. Development of creativity as a trait and attitude of an individual. Programmes of incitement of children´s creativity in different fields of expression. Creative workshops intended for learning/acquiring second language.
Programmes of educational work at the level of pre-school education and uprbringing
Experimental programmes for early education and the results of their application in Serbia and the world. Praxeology of developing programmes of pre-school education and upbringing – strategy in the development of curricula. Receptivity of our system of education in relation to novelties which have been tested in our pre-school practice: application of experimental and non-experimental innovations.
Position and role of pre-school education and upbringing in a comprehensive system of education and upbringing in Serbia and experiences of other countries
The issue of continuity between various levels of the system of education and upbringing. Relationship between pre-school and elementary education – continuity or discontinuity in the system. Possibilities of establishing continuity between various levels of the system . Preparation for school. Preparation for admittance of pre-school children.
Methods of educational work with pre-school children.
Relationship between methods of educational work with pre-school children and didactics in elementary school. Methods of educational work with pre-school children through developmental aspects – physical, social, emotional, cognitive development of communication and creativity of pre-school children. Specificity of a strategy of upbringing in working with pre-school children.
